About Robby

Dear Friends,

I have always been involved in either a sport or a hobby that involved physical activity (i.e. cycling, golf, skiing).  I was never the type of kid who enjoyed just staying in and sitting still.  I think it is because of this that I eventually found my passion in the field of health and fitness.

In high school I was very passionate about sports. I played on the Varsity basketball team and I ran on the Varsity cross country team.

Entering college I was not sure about what I wanted to do with my life.  After touring the campus at Fitchburg State College, located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, I was introduced to the head professor for the department of Exercise and Sports Science.  After talking with her and hearing about everything the major had to offer and how I can learn about the various functions of the body as well as everything there is to know about exercise and its benefits, I knew in my heart that this was for me.

It was during freshmen year that I began to workout religiously at the gym.  In the past I had played sports and for me that was how I stayed in shape.  I was always a skinny kid with not much “meat on his bones” as my relatives would say.  I had always wanted to be stronger and not be the kid that always got pushed around.  Once I began to hit the weights, my whole life changed.

After nearly a year of consistent weight training and cardio, I had gained nearly 20 pounds of muscle and going into my sophomore year I was no longer considered a skinny kid. I had more confidence that I could even imagine and it changed my whole outlook on life. After seeing the results that exercising gave me and having never been good at keeping a secret, I wanted to be able to share all that I had been learning with those who struggle with their fitness goals.

The following year I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), one of the top organizations in the country.   I was finally able to help those in need!

I ended up graduating (cum laude) and receiving my Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Fitchburg State College.  I am now currently pursuing my Masters in Business.   It was just before graduating that I started my personal training business, Tenacity Training.  I cannot describe to you how happy it makes me feel to see my clients reach their goals.  And I want the same for you!

I created this website because I want you to be able to experience the same excitement and satisfaction that I did way back when I was a freshmen in college.  I went from literally knowing nothing about exercise and my body and how to workout properly to becoming one of the top personal trainers in my area.  It took alot of hard work and effort and I don’t want you to have to go through the same learning curve that I did.  I want to give you the simple, effective information you need to reach your goals.

You can do it, and I want to help.
